About The Position

The Supervisor of Scheduling and Materials Planning will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining detailed production schedules. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure resource availability, optimizing processes for efficiency, and monitoring production progress. The position also requires reporting on scheduling performance and resolving any conflicts or issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience (4+ years) in production scheduling or a similar role.
  • At least 0-2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling techniques, inventory management, and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the production scheduling team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales orders, inventory levels, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available as needed.
  • Analyze production schedules and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Track production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any issues, such as delays, equipment failures, or changes in demand.
  • Prepare and present reports on scheduling performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery rates and production efficiency.
  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues, working with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption to production.
