About The Position

Join Alton Memorial's Patient Care Operations team! Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years experience
• < 2 years supervisor experience

• Associate's Degree in Business/related

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Coordinates non-patient care operations of assigned areas through integration with other departments.
• Supervises and provides continuous training for staff.
• Facilitates acquisition of supplies, equipment and services throughout hospital departments.
• Plans, develops, recommends and coordinates processes and strategies to identify revenue opportunities.
