About The Position

Monmouth Crossing, part of the CentraState Healthcare System, is an award-winning assisted living facility. This role directly supervises and coordinates the activities, logistical functions, and performance of facilities personnel, contracted services, and all assigned operational tasks under the direction of the Manager of Facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory capacity required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare environment required.
  • NJ Boiler License or NJ HVAC License required, or must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License required, subject to driving record review.
  • Computer Literate with a basic functional capability in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of trade school or two years of college education preferred.
  • Experience with BAS (Building Automation System) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Work Order System and the Work Request Standard Procedure to manage work load, completion and accountability for assigned personnel.
  • Utilizes the computerized Maintenance Work Order System to monitor compliance with regulatory required maintenance as well as testing and statutory time tables.
  • Monitors workmanship/performance quality, code compliance, and individual competency.
  • Monitors work performance quantity and ensures productivity levels meet departmental expectations.
  • Monitors and participates in departmental functions to improve staff morale and customer satisfaction.
  • Checks, advises and supervises work, making additions, changes, corrections and/or re-assigns as required.
  • Provides technical assistance to departmental and hospital staff.
  • Observes work techniques and practices to assure that safety policies are followed, including training and enforcement of safety policies.
  • Reviews material lists and stock levels, and prepares and approves supply and materials requisitions.
  • Coordinates with departmental and medical staff for appropriate access and times to perform repairs.
  • Coordinates with staff to assure proper assignment and scheduling of resources including materials, tools, equipment, and skilled tradesmen.
  • Schedules work in coordination with departments, management, and contractors to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors all work performed to assure compliance.
  • Assists in hiring, orientation, training, and disciplinary processes.
  • Monitors and inspects employee work to ensure performance standards are maintained and life safety codes followed.
  • Schedules and maintains staff coverage for all essential functions as applied to all assigned buildings.
  • Participates in on-call duties and emergency calls.
  • Participates in departmental functions as required during emergencies, ensuring communication with Administrator for all emergencies and reporting to the State Department of Health as required.
  • Performs other departmental duties as assigned.
