About The Position

This position is for a Supervisor of Early Childhood within the Paterson Public Schools. The role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education best practices, including the Creative Curriculum for Preschool. The supervisor will be responsible for providing professional development and ensuring programs align with developmentally appropriate standards. The position is pending budget availability and will remain open for at least ten days or until filled. Paterson Public Schools is committed to diversity and equal opportunity.

Requirements

• Hold a NJ Supervisor Certification
• Hold a Masters degree from an accredited institution (College or University)
• Have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in preschool; at least five years in teaching preschool
• Valid NJ P-3 or N-8 certification
• Strong understanding of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool
• Experience providing professional development activities (early childhood preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with early childhood programs and developmentally appropriate best practices
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents and community
• Ability to work within a team setting
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
