About The Position

The Division Order & Owner Relations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and administration of division orders, ownership records, and owner relations activities across the company’s asset portfolio. This role ensures the accurate setup and maintenance of ownership data, timely and accurate revenue distribution support, and exceptional communication with royalty owners, working interest owners, and internal stakeholders. As a leader within the Land Administration team, this position supervises Division Order and Owner Relations personnel, establishes processes and controls to maintain data integrity, and collaborates closely with Land, Accounting, Legal, Revenue, and Operations teams to support the company’s business objectives and compliance requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Land Administration, Business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of Division Order and/or Owner Relations experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas ownership calculations, title interpretation, and revenue distribution processes.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, self motivated, and ability to prioritize competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various groups across the company.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with land administration and revenue accounting software systems.
  • ERP system experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Division Order and Owner Relations operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of ownership records and owner inquiries.
  • Oversee setup and maintenance of ownership decks, revenue interests, and related ownership data within land and accounting systems.
  • Review and interpret title opinions, probate documents, deeds, assignments, curative documents, and other legal instruments to determine ownership interests.
  • Coordinate with Land, Revenue Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams to resolve ownership discrepancies and support revenue distribution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards related to division order and owner relations functions.
  • Manage and respond to owner inquiries regarding payments, ownership changes, tax documentation, escheatment, and other related matters in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supervise and mentor Division Order Analysts and Owner Relations staff, including training, workload management, and performance development.
  • Review and approve division orders, transfer documentation, and ownership changes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Monitor suspense accounts and assist in resolving title, payment, and ownership issues impacting revenue disbursement.
  • Develop and maintain internal procedures and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across division order and owner relations processes.
  • Assist with acquisition and divestiture projects, including ownership transfers, due diligence, and integration of ownership records.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to ownership, suspense, compliance, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with third party software vendors and internal technology teams to improve workflows and optimize system functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced customer service initiatives.
