About The Position

The Supervisor of Developmental Health oversees the delivery of developmental health, screening, behavioral health, and related family support services while providing supervision, guidance, and operational leadership to assigned staff. Responsibilities include supervising developmental health initiatives, supporting staff performance and development, maintaining community partnerships, promoting access to developmental health resources, supporting training opportunities, and overseeing program implementation and continuous improvement activities. This position helps ensure developmental health services are delivered effectively, consistently, and in alignment with organizational policies, program requirements, and best practices. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, relationship building, professionalism, empathy, accountability, communication, and the ability to support both staff and program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an early learning, developmental health, child development, behavioral health, or related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting child development, developmental health services, screening activities, or family-centered services.
  • Reliable transportation, minimum insurance coverage, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
  • Reliable mobile phone service is required for technology compliance, including multi-factor authentication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee developmental health, behavioral health, screening, and related support services in accordance with organizational policies, program requirements, and best practices.
  • Monitor service delivery activities, program implementation, and operational priorities to support effective and timely services.
  • Support implementation of developmental health initiatives, special projects, and departmental priorities.
  • Address operational challenges and support resolution of escalated service concerns.
  • Supervise, support, and develop assigned staff through coaching, performance management, feedback, and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and performance improvement activities.
  • Establish clear expectations and support accountability for service quality, productivity, and organizational standards.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, community organizations, service providers, and referral partners.
  • Identify, promote, and disseminate developmental health resources and training opportunities for families, providers, educators, and community partners.
  • Participate in community meetings, collaborative initiatives, and partnerships that support developmental health outcomes.
  • Support communication regarding available resources, supports, reimbursement opportunities, and developmental health services.
  • Monitor operational performance, program outcomes, compliance requirements, and service metrics related to developmental health services.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation related to departmental activities and initiatives.
  • Support quality assurance, monitoring, continuous improvement, and special project activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, staff development, and developmental health outcomes.
