The Supervisor Nutrition Services role is responsible for the delivery of Nutrition Services for assigned areas. This position participates in implementing site plans to support strategic plans and goals for Nutrition Services and provides oversight for assigned areas. The supervisor manages results and ensures positive site relations. Essential functions include providing oversight for assigned areas of the Nutrition Services department, being accountable for service and quality improvement results (Press Ganey/HCAHPS), participating in the collection of key success metrics, and monitoring results to ensure department performance expectations are met. The role also involves formulating or providing input into department business plans, participating in the development of strategic long and short-term goals and plans for functions in the assigned site in support of system strategic goals, and maintaining standards and philosophies for assigned areas within the department. The supervisor provides input into the annual budget, manages assigned resources within the approved budget, and monitors financial results. Additionally, the role includes interviewing, hiring, orienting, coaching, and developing staff members, assigning duties and responsibilities, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and taking corrective action as needed. The supervisor must comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Nutrition Services operations, maintain current knowledge of business operations and management techniques, model behaviors embodied in the mission of Beaumont, participate on various hospital committees, and contribute to a safe work environment by using tools and equipment appropriately.
