About The Position

Supervisor Food and Nutrition Services at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Under the direction of the Manager, Nutrition, supervises the day-to-day operations with approximately half of the work time spent on the physical running of the Nutrition Services Department. Job duties include, but not limited to: implement policies, procedures and work standards; monitors quality management indicators; supervises production & service staff; ensures departmental staffing, cleanliness, sanitation, tidiness & safety. Assists registered dietitians in supporting the needs of diet office staff. Able to cover production and diet aide shifts, if necessary. Requirements

  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association (Vendor Managed)
  • 3 years of experience with therapeutic diets including menu processing and interacting with patients, family members & Nursing staff.
  • Computer experience, using word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Upon hire: Certified Dietary Manager credential, or Dietary Services Supervisor certificate
  • 3 years of Food service management or supervisorial experience, including quantity food preparation & customer service, in an acute care setting.
