The Supervisor Nutrition Services role is responsible for the delivery of Nutrition Services for assigned areas. This position participates in implementing site plans to support strategic plans and goals for Nutrition Services, provides oversight for assigned areas, and manages results to ensure positive site relations. Key functions include accountability for service and quality improvement results (Press Ganey/HCAHPS), participation in collecting and monitoring key success metrics, and ensuring department performance expectations are met. The supervisor formulates or provides input into department business plans, contributes to the development of strategic long and short-term goals, and maintains departmental standards and philosophies. Financial responsibilities include providing input into the annual budget and managing assigned resources within the approved budget. The role also involves interviewing, hiring, orienting, coaching, and developing staff members, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and taking corrective action. Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Nutrition Services operations is essential, as is maintaining current knowledge of business operations and management techniques. The supervisor is expected to model the behaviors embodied in the mission of Beaumont, participate on various hospital committees, and contribute to a safe work environment by using tools and equipment appropriately.
