Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing / Patient Care OR Associates/RN Diploma
  • For those hired on or before 1/1/2019 BSN required within 3 years, any variation has to be approved by the System CNO.
  • 3 years Nursing
  • 1 year Area of practice ore related specialty
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
  • Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance Required if required by unit
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association Required if required by unit
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association Required if required by unit
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - The American Academy of Pediatrics Required if required by unit

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, supervisor and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
  • Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.
  • Complete performance appraisal of staff members.
  • Performs timely and effective service recovery to address patient/family complaints and grievances.
  • Participates in people management activities for direct team members such as conducting performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
  • Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.
  • Identifies oncoming shift’s staffing needs and initiates action that assists in procuring adequate levels of staffing within their control.
  • Remains current in and compliant with new developments and technology in areas of responsibility including documentation, medication administration, and monitoring systems.
