About The Position

The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services in a hospital setting plays a key leadership role in the nursing department, supporting the manager in overseeing all patient care activity on their assigned nursing unit(s). They are responsible for ensuring high standards of care, coordinating daily nursing activities, and facilitating communication between medical teams. Assists with the training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of clinical staff. They also manage patient care assignments, help resolve patient and family concerns, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety regulations. Additionally, they assist in staffing decisions, maintain inventory for medical supplies, and ensure that the unit is properly equipped to provide quality care. Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is a 174-bed acute care hospital that provides quality clinical outcomes, experienced physicians, advanced technology, and a patient-centered approach to care in southern Virginia Beach, as well as neighboring Chesapeake and Northeastern North Carolina communities. Requirements

  • RN Licensure in VA or compact state in good standing
  • 2yrs Nursing experience required
  • 1yr nursing leadership experience required (UC or similar)
  • Must have recent experience in the ED
  • This role will focus on quality and regulator duties, investigations, auditing, follow up.
