About The Position

Responsible for overall management, oversight, and coordination of Reactor Maintenance needed by the site. This position will provide direction and coordination of Reactor Maintenance functions to direct reports in the Site Refuel Services Unit. This includes scheduling, supervision, training, planning, and benchmarking the industry, equipment and equipment maintenance for Reactor Maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School / GED
  • 4 years minimum required related experience
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and development for On-line, ISFSI, and refueling operations and other Reactor Maintenance work for the given outage.
  • Assist in the development of outage and pre-outage schedules and implement the fleet strategy relative to Reactor Maintenance scope. This requires providing directive control and influence on site project scope development and project team meetings for Reactor Maintenance.
  • Supervise and coordinate the reactor/refueling equipment maintenance and personnel readiness for the Outage, On-line, and ISFSI.
  • Guide and influence actions of station personnel, shared resources and contractors to ensure equipment reliability during Outage, On-line, and ISFSI implementation. This includes resolution of equipment problems, development of repair solutions, and coordination of budget activities.
  • Provide oversight for Reactor Maintenance activities during Outage, On-line, and ISFSI periods. This involves the establishment and maintaining the highest standards for human performance, safety (personal, radiological and nuclear) performance and CORE 4 values for all Reactor Maintenance teammates and contractors.
  • Supervise and monitor qualification of Reactor Maintenance team members and ensure that applicable qualifications are maintained current and accurate.
  • Oversee supplemental resource requirements for refueling activities, including identification of Shared Resource and contractor support.
  • Provide and administer training for Reactor Maintenance team members.
  • Identify, develop, conduct and coordinate training courses within the company and outside the company.
  • Facilitate standardization of procedures between the sites and help maintain the corporate NGG procedure. This includes ownership, development and revision of procedures specific to refueling activities. This requires working closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations.
  • Identify and implement industry best practices to improve Reactor Maintenance performance and ensure Reactor Maintenance work by Duke Energy or contractors are conducted in a manner consistent with company and site standards of performance (Safety, Human Performance, communication, etc).
