We are looking for a Supervisor – Mobile Maintenance to lead a team responsible for maintaining and repairing critical mining equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, on a 5x5x4 rotating shift roster (days and nights) and working collaboratively with operational and functional teams, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team of maintenance tradespeople and embedded contractors (typically 18–21 personnel). You will promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned to MSHA standards and Rio Tinto’s Zero Harm commitment, lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented, and ensure compliance with site safety systems, permits, and risk assessments. You will supervise and coordinate preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment including haul trucks, dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and drills. You will make real-time decisions to support safe and efficient production outcomes, including exercising stop-work authority when required. You will allocate resources and sequence work based on operational priorities, equipment availability, and workforce capability, and ensure high-quality execution of maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and improving asset reliability. You will work closely with planning and operations teams to align maintenance activities with production requirements, identify, investigate, and resolve equipment and operational issues to improve performance outcomes, and maintain accurate records in maintenance systems, including SAP, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will also facilitate effective shift handovers and team communication using tools such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
