About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for a challenging position to join their operations team: Supervisor, Mine Operations (Construction). Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a long-term track record of creating value for all stakeholders through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and a company-wide commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. They operate three mines in Canada and Mexico, with a strong portfolio of development stage projects and an early-stage exploration project. Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in mining operations
Supervisory common core
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently
Computer proficient
Good communication skills, coupled with strong leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education in mining related field would be an asset
Qualified as train the trainer would be an asset

Responsibilities

Plan, communicate and follow work for assigned construction team
Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices
Provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to members of the crew
Hold yourself and crew members accountable towards attainment of safety and performance targets
Perform workplace inspections and plan corrective measures if required
Report work planned and realized daily using the tools provided
Perform monthly HS meetings with crews presenting the material provided
Perform performance appraisals with the support of the field trainer
Fill monthly compliance records
Any other task as directed by direct supervisor
