Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years general experience
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of hourly production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations
  • Lead daily production activities to ensure schedules, customer requirements, and operational objectives are met
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, fostering a strong safety culture
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to address safety, quality, delivery, and productivity issues
  • Identify employee training needs and ensure team members are properly trained and qualified to perform assigned work
  • Conduct employee qualification evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and administer corrective action when necessary
  • Coordinate staffing, work assignments, overtime, and cross-training to support production needs
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues and improve performance
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or other operational excellence tools
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, work instructions, and collective bargaining agreement
  • Investigate production, quality, and safety incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate attendance and overtime records and other required documentation
  • Conduct daily meetings to communicate goals, performance expectations, and operational updates
  • Support new product launches, process improvements, and change management initiatives
