About The Position

Supervisor, Maintenance To oversee the daily operations of the Pipe Shop, AC Shop, and the Central Utility Plant at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital campus. To plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, H.V.A.C., mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds in a safe working condition. The Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for administering labor and material controls, for training of maintenance personnel in safety and for effective management practices. Contribute to the success of the operating center through effective work coordination, management of resources and participation in goal accomplishment. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the Pipe Shop, AC Shop, and the Central Utility Plant. All licenses, certifications or registrations must be maintained in area of specialty Mission Essential Personnel at SNGH

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • VA or NC drivers license in good standing
  • 4 years Project Management experience
  • 4 years related experience, maintenance/personnel, facilities HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, Grounds, Safety
  • Leadership Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Level Degree preferred but not required
