About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department and team. This includes managing the response to all emergency and urgent work, determining available hours for scheduling, and completing scheduled work. The position is also responsible for supervising technicians and assigning their tasks or work orders. The role supports established best practices through Management System initiatives like ISO and KORE Standards, and aims to improve asset reliability and reduce unscheduled downtime through proactive maintenance planning and scheduling. The supervisor will manage and track scheduled and emergency work, provide technical, safety, and system-related training, and oversee parts room management. They will also collaborate with the Risk Management Team on contractor policies and support quality and food safety initiatives. Additionally, the role involves managing smaller in-house and capital projects, including contractor scheduling and financial impact analysis. The supervisor is expected to lead and motivate a team, communicate company goals, implement continuous improvement methods, and embody company values.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Beverage Equipment Operations and repair.
  • Ability to manage both in-house and capital projects from the scheduling of Contractor, Vendor, and Production related projects to the projects financial impact on the plants' various costs centers or Capital Budgeting Process.
  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school.
  • 5 to up to 7 years of work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a Food Processing, Beverage, Dairy, or Brewing Industry.
  • Direct experience working in a Proactive Maintenance System environment is preferred.
  • Possessing a 2-year degree in a technical field such as engineering or equivalent Trade Schooling is preferred.
  • Direct work experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department and team.
  • Manage the response to all emergency and urgent work.
  • Determine available hours for scheduling and complete scheduled work.
  • Supervise technicians and assign their scheduled tasks or work orders.
  • Support and participate in established best practices through Management System initiatives (ISO and KORE Standards).
  • Support Key Business Indicators as defined by local leadership and Maintenance System Requirements.
  • Provide continued technical and proactive system-based training to support customer service, asset reliability, and reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Incorporate the Continuous Improvement Process and Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Manage and track both scheduled and emergency work through direct reports.
  • Schedule and provide technical, safety, and system-related training.
  • Provide strong leadership in technical competencies, scheduling and planning of maintenance, and Parts Room management.
  • Work closely with the Risk Management Team on the CCCI Contractor Management Policy.
  • Support all Quality and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Manage smaller in-house and capital projects from the scheduling of Contractor, Vendor, and Production related projects to the project's financial impact.
  • Supervise, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines.
  • Engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training.
  • Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus.
