Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business/related field or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
  • 4 or more years’ experience in repair and maintenance of transportation equipment or facilities maintenance.
  • 2 - 3 years supervisory experience in related area.
  • Strong technical background in repair and maintenance.
  • Strong union leadership experience with managing union personnel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) credential is required.
  • Subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check to obtain your driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the repair and maintenance of one or more of the following: yard tractors, service trucks, forklifts, top loaders, tank trailers, chassis, flatbeds, reefers, dry trailers, tires, gen-sets, power packs, dry containers or facilities maintenance.
  • Administer preventive maintenance programs and develop work schedules in coordination with equipment need at the terminal or for facilities maintenance.
  • Supervise from ten (10) to fifteen (15) skilled and semi-skilled employees.
