About The Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination, including leading and directing maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Supervisor will foster a well-trained and motivated staff and assist the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role is also responsible for managing and overseeing preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairs, quickly assessing problems to minimize production downtime, and ensuring compliance with SQF Quality Management policies, procedures, and GMP practices. The Maintenance Supervisor must ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical college certificate, or equivalent; OR Five (5) or more years of related experience and training; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Lead or Supervisor with direct reports.
  • Experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and convey ideas and information accurately.
  • Basic PLC experience required.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a staff of nine maintenance technicians.
  • Measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime.
  • Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues and direct and/or assist with repairs.
  • Promote a "Safety First" culture among staff.
  • Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program for equipment and plant facilities.
  • Ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow company policies and procedures.
