About The Position

The role of a Maintenance Supervisor is to provide the necessary guidance, knowledge, and skill sets needed to properly and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment for production, facilities and/or utilities. As a Maintenance Supervisor this individual will be responsible for working across departments to coordinate the timely completion of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, coordinating and overseeing the work of maintenance mechanics, as well as train new and existing mechanics.

Requirements

  • Guidance, knowledge, and skill sets needed to properly and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment for production, facilities and/or utilities.
  • Ability to work across departments to coordinate the timely completion of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee the work of maintenance mechanics.
  • Ability to train new and existing mechanics.
  • Ability to assess equipment problems, identify root causes, make necessary repairs, and complete associated documentation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain necessary procedures for routine preventive maintenance (PM).
  • Ability to identify critical spare parts and maintain inventories to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiencies.
  • Compliance with company cGMP and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to notify management if specifications cannot be met or if quality or safety is compromised.
  • Ability to review and document work completed by employees.
  • Ability to conduct employee reviews.
  • Ability to ensure all safety equipment is functional and employees practice proper safety procedures.
  • Ability to work on other projects as requested by management.
  • Responsibility for ensuring compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coordinating and overseeing routine and non-routine maintenance / repairs of equipment for production, facilities and/or utilities.
  • Assessing any problems with the equipment, identify root cause, make the necessary repairs and complete associated documentation.
  • Coordinating activities, as well as coordinate and oversee the work of maintenance personnel.
  • Establishing and maintaining necessary procedures required to perform routine preventive maintenance (PM).
  • Identifying critical spare parts needed (and then maintaining those inventories in order to minimize equipment down time and maximize production efficiencies).
  • Performing all activities in compliance with company cGMP and safety policies, procedures and practices.
  • Effectively communicating with Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers and subordinates.
  • Notifying management if specifications cannot be met and/or quality or safety is being compromised.
  • Reviewing and documenting work completed by employees.
  • Conducting employee reviews.
  • Ensuring that all safety equipment is functional and that all employees practice proper safety and follow safety procedures.
  • Working on other projects as requested by management.
  • Ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
