About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance staff, overseeing preventative maintenance programs, and managing work orders for critical building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. This role involves ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with external contractors, managing budgets and inventory, and responding to emergencies. The supervisor provides technical guidance, recruits and trains staff, and maintains facility standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in general maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and machine repairs.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both upper management and technical staff.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including overtime and on-call availability.
  • Ability to resolve complex projects with minimal direction.

  • Trade school degree or vocational training is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff, including setting daily priorities and providing technical guidance on complex repairs.
  • Develop and implement routine maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical building systems to minimize downtime.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and local safety codes, conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs, monitor the maintenance budget, and manage the inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Maintain facility SOPs and remain on call to respond quickly to emergencies and adverse weather conditions.
