About The Position

This role involves a supervisory capacity with direct reports ranging from 1-5 individuals. The position requires extensive hands-on experience in PLC and HMI maintenance and troubleshooting, including ladder logic. Responsibilities include performing and diagnosing hydraulic leaks and preventative maintenance (PMs). The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading advanced electrical and blueprint schematics, troubleshooting integrated circuits, wiring control circuits for various voltage levels (5, 12, 24, and 120 volts), and advanced pneumatic circuit design. Advanced welding skills and experience with welding tools are essential, as is experience with basic shop tools such as hand tools, drills, lathes, and milling machines. Familiarity with Bridge & Rail Cranes, drilling/tapping, circuit design & layout, cutting & threading pipe, basic pneumatic troubleshooting & repair, building maintenance (including lighting, compressors, and emergency lighting), bending conduit and pulling wire, and the installation & set-up of motor contractors and VFDs is required. The role also includes ensuring all employees adhere to safety guidelines, actively intervening in unsafe actions or conditions, conducting daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices, coaching employees, and ensuring all accidents are reported. The supervisor will oversee hourly employee timecards, including approvals for overtime and vacation within the Kronos system. They must be capable of sizing motor starters and overloads, maintaining machine functionality, completing employee development plans, and organizing, communicating with, and motivating employees. The ability to prioritize one's own work-day schedule is crucial. This role involves scheduling, coordinating, and directing all necessary maintenance and construction work, conducting inspections to ensure proper workmanship and conformance to safety regulations, and meeting with senior management regularly to provide monthly budgets and project status updates. Collaboration with counterparts, technical partners, and customers may also occur. Regular team meetings, both group and one-on-one, will be conducted to set objectives, monitor progress, and conduct performance reviews, including making promotion or salary increase recommendations. The position requires a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and 3-5 years of experience within the automotive industry. Travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants, is necessary, which may involve climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. Knowledge of Timer’s & Counter theory, Electronic’s theory, Encoders/decoders theory, OHM’s Law, and Hydraulics theory & functionality is required. Forklift and overhead crane experience (certification will be required) are also necessary. Awareness of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 orientation/awareness training is expected. The candidate should be customer-service oriented, possess a passion for excellence, and have strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Industrial Maintenance experience
  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
  • Knowledge of Timer’s & Counter theory
  • Knowledge of Electronic’s theory
  • Knowledge of Encoders/decoders theory
  • Knowledge of OHM’s Law
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics theory & functionality
  • Forklift experience (Certification will be required)
  • Overhead crane experience (Certification will be required)
