About The Position

The CNC Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery and equipment within a manufacturing or production environment. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of CNC machines, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location including but not limited to: ISO 45001: Health and Safety management system standard. Responsibilities

  • Directs and ensures completion of all emergency repairs of CNC machines.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work assignment schedules to ensure efficient operations by supervising the troubleshooting and repairs of CNC mills, lathes, 4 and 5-axis machines, grinders, EDMs, and support equipment.
  • Complies with OSHA Safety Standards: Lockout/Tagout, Permit Required Confined Space, Hot Work, use of proper PPE, Hazard Communication and Ergonomics.
  • Review work orders to determine work priorities and assign to the maintenance team.
  • Directs and ensures completion of all preventative maintenance work orders. Ensure that work is performed properly and equipment is in a safe and working order.
  • Maintains all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant standards.
  • Coordinates activities of maintenance team fabricating or modifying machines, tools or equipment to repair or upgrade machinery.
  • Develop and implement improvements for specific maintenance processes, procedures, PM’s, instructions and systems.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to plan downtime windows for repairs and upgrades, and during improvement projects, new machining installations and all upgrades relating to machine production.
  • Oversee spare-parts inventory, critical spares strategy, reorder points, work orders and purchase orders for Maintenance and maintenance-related production needs.
  • Attend daily shift change meetings to communicate reoccurring equipment issues and to delegate assignments.
  • Maintain continuity between all shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of fluids room and oil handling cart following the 5-S Cleaning System. (Sort-Set in Order-Shine-Standardize-Sustain.
