About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Supervisor of Maintenance & Facilities to lead our maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment, utilities, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting production goals. This role operates on a 4-Day Work Week: Monday–Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts). Requirements

  • Valid Virginia Electrical License (required)
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial maintenance
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, PLCs, drives, and control systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and three-phase systems
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Able to work on Fridays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians (mechanical & electrical)
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily maintenance and work orders
  • Partner with production to minimize downtime and maximize reliability
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management
  • Serve as point of contact for vendors/ utility providers/ regulatory agencies
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee installation, repair, and movement of equipment and utilities
  • Maintain CMMS records and support new equipment commissioning
  • Oversee utilities including electrical, gas, air, water, and process systems
  • Responsible for overseeing upkeep of grounds and facilities
  • Supervise electrical work in compliance with NEC and state regulations
  • Maintain panels, transformers, MCCs, drives, and controls
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA (70E), and LOTO procedures
  • Support environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Drive reliability and efficiency improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues
  • Partner on capital and process improvement projects
