About The Position

As our Machining & Assembly Supervisor, you will lead and support a skilled trades workforce to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient machining operations, partnering closely with technical support teams to execute fabrication work scopes, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement. You will serve as a key advocate for both employees and operational excellence by communicating regularly on safety, quality, and production performance, addressing issues as they arise, and formalizing corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a union environment
  • Prefer experience in machining and assembly with a minimum of 2 years in a shop supervisor/lead role
  • Motivated to help production teams and seek out and resolve issues
  • Must be available for scheduled overtime
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing employees and leaders of diverse backgrounds and generations.
  • Passion for employee engagement, organizational development, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with G&M Codes, MS Office, SharePoint, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and overhead cranes a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising hourly skilled trades in the areas of machining.
  • Work with technical support groups to execute fabrication work scopes and resolve issues.
  • Assist in resolution of issues regarding machining and assembly based on experience and technical knowledge of both skilled trades.
  • Report out (verbally and written) regularly on safety, quality, and production activities.
  • Adress safety and quality issues that are presented during manufacturing and work with technical support groups to resolve and formalize the corrective actions as needed.
