About The Position

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Full Time Supervisor for Linen/Environmental Services. This role involves ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, managing departmental personnel, and maintaining a sanitary and orderly hospital environment. The supervisor will also oversee the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write the English language.
Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or EVS, preferably in healthcare.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Ability to lift supplies/equipment and tolerate the physical demands of cleaning.

Responsibilities

Ensure supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicable current compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments.
Ensure Associates complete compliance orientation and arrange for ongoing specific risk training.
Provide assistance regarding monitoring techniques to assure compliance in supervised functional areas.
Respond to detect offenses, assist in investigations, and in the development and implementation of disciplinary and/or corrective action initiatives.
Assist the Director with organizing, directing, coordinating and supervising functions and activities to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary and orderly condition that complies with regulatory requirements.
Assist with selection, training/orientation, scheduling and assignment of departmental personnel.
Assist with ensuring all customer satisfaction goals are maintained.
Supervise environmental functions and activities.
Conduct a comprehensive quality assurance program as directed.
Supervise care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies/materials.
Perform other job-related duties within job scope as requested by supervisor.
