About The Position

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Full Time Supervisor for Linen/Environmental Services. This role involves ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, managing departmental personnel, and maintaining a sanitary and orderly hospital environment. The supervisor will also oversee the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write the English language.
  • Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or EVS, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to lift supplies/equipment and tolerate the physical demands of cleaning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicable current compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments.
  • Ensure Associates complete compliance orientation and arrange for ongoing specific risk training.
  • Provide assistance regarding monitoring techniques to assure compliance in supervised functional areas.
  • Respond to detect offenses, assist in investigations, and in the development and implementation of disciplinary and/or corrective action initiatives.
  • Assist the Director with organizing, directing, coordinating and supervising functions and activities to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary and orderly condition that complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with selection, training/orientation, scheduling and assignment of departmental personnel.
  • Assist with ensuring all customer satisfaction goals are maintained.
  • Supervise environmental functions and activities.
  • Conduct a comprehensive quality assurance program as directed.
  • Supervise care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies/materials.
  • Perform other job-related duties within job scope as requested by supervisor.
