Oversees line maintenance operations and supervises line maintenance personnel. Manages, monitors, and coordinates SMS (Safety Management System) activities. This includes coordinating the development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the SMS, identifying hazards and safety risk assessments, ensuring the effectiveness of safety risk controls, and promoting safety. The supervisor advises the accountable executive on SMS performance and improvement needs, and is accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks. They manage risk to an acceptable level, take action to remove inoperative equipment from use, monitor maintenance activities to ensure high standards of quality and safety, and determine work priorities for the shift. The role involves supervising maintenance performed by Frontier personnel on company and contract aircraft, providing timely and accurate aircraft status information, determining job standards, testing personnel productivity, safety habits, and workmanship. The supervisor reviews and evaluates maintenance performance, administers corrective action when necessary, and assists in formulating departmental policy and administering company and departmental budgets. They also assist with monthly/quarterly shelf life audits, ensure tools and equipment are maintained to safety standards, conduct lost and found tool investigations, and perform computer and administrative functions. Identifying operational improvements, ensuring adherence to airport and aircraft security regulations, performing shift turnovers, and auditing completed aircraft records are also key responsibilities. The supervisor ensures personnel are properly trained, qualified, and current for their tasks and performs other duties as assigned.
