Requirements

Vocational/technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
5 + years industry experience.
Basic mathematics skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
Problem solving skills.
Knowledge of all kitting and assembly procedures.
Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.
Ability to develop new techniques for handling work.
Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.
Basic computer skills navigating Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Front-line supervision experience plus technical and interpersonal skills are helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising workflow of the schedules and managing staff to achieve manufacturing goals.
Responsible for assuring the overall quality of the products being shipped and for supervising in-process inspections and verifications.
Responsible for staff evaluations and general employee relations.
Makes hiring, promotion, and termination recommendations.
Responsible for the safety of department personnel and for assuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Interacts with scheduling, customer service, planning and press to assure availability of printed materials to meet delivery requirements.
Responsible for determining the most efficient way that a job should be prepared.
Ability to work together with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
Support of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Works overtime when needed.
Performs other duties as requested.
Oversees daily assignments to Line Leads and General Workers.
Approves time off and payroll time.
Conflict resolution and general discipline to adhere to rules.
