About The Position

The Janitorial Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to required standards. This role supervises cleaning staff, coordinates schedules, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and serves as the main point of contact for operational needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support janitorial staff during assigned shifts
• Assign daily work tasks and ensure coverage for all scheduled areas
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
• Train employees on proper cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures
• Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies
• Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Address employee and operational issues in a timely, professional manner
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company standards
• Communicate regularly with operations leadership regarding staffing and service needs
• Complete reports and documentation as required
