About The Position

Supervises operational activities within Sterile Processing, Decontamination and assembly of case carts. Responsible for workflow, staffing to workload and functions related to the collection, receipt, and decontamination of surgical equipment. Able to effectively direct and monitor team leaders, technicians to consistently meet patient needs. Ensures proper preventive maintenance and repair of equipment is conducted. Collaborates with Education Coordinator to provide orientation and training. Collaborates with Quality Coordinator to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance program. Assists in establishing and revising department policies and procedures. Participates in various personnel actions including performance appraisals, corrective actions and timecards. Assists the CS Leadership in the development of policies, procedures, quality assurance, education, process improvement and assigned finances in compliance with standards outlined by Mayo Clinic and regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, OSHA, ERTKA, FDA, ADA, etc). Participates in department process improvement activities.

Requirements
