About The Position

This role is designed for individuals looking to grow into a supervisory position within our automotive operations. The Supervisor In Training will learn and perform all warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. The position involves developing a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and operational standards, while monitoring workflow and identifying opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements. The trainee will support daily operational goals while maintaining quality standards. Leadership development is a key component, involving observation and participation in employee coaching, training, and development, assisting supervisors with task assignments and monitoring team performance, and developing effective communication and conflict-resolution skills. The role also includes learning workforce planning and labor management practices, and participating in leadership development activities and assigned projects. Promoting a safe work environment and complying with all company safety policies, participating in accident prevention and safety awareness initiatives, and assisting with maintaining operational compliance and housekeeping standards are also crucial. The trainee will serve as a positive role model demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and teamwork, building productive working relationships with employees across departments, and supporting company culture and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or related operational experience.
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance record, and a solid work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
