About The Position

This position integrates activities and resources of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, which includes Radiology, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, MRI, Mammography, PET, and office support. The Supervisor assists the department manager in providing overall leadership and management of the Radiology/Imaging Department. Key responsibilities include promoting excellent patient care, ensuring cost-effective use of material and human resources, and fostering professional growth and job satisfaction for staff. The role requires maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. The Supervisor is also responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), coordinating PACS services with other departments, physicians, and their office staff, and communicating system changes and upgrades to users. Direct supervision of technologists is a core function, involving ongoing performance improvement monitoring and reporting, staff in-service training, and competency testing. The Supervisor assigns staff and workload requirements, adapting to changing priorities in daily operations, and interacts and communicates with physician support staff and other healthcare professionals. Less than 50% of the time is spent performing the duties of the individuals being supervised. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for its patients, with over 386 physicians in primary and specialty practices providing outpatient services in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced County communities, with care centers in Modesto, Stockton, and six other Central Valley communities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • CRT- Certified Radiologic Technologist (or) ARRT -Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists (or) NMT -Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (or) ARDMS- American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (or) CT -Computed Tomography (or) RHM -Radiology Mammography (or) ARMRIT -Certified MRI Technologist (or) RCS -Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • BLS -Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of Radiology Care.
  • Knowledge of quality personnel management, communication skills and customer service.
  • Basic computer/data entry/statistical evaluation skills.
  • Communication and problem-solving skills are desired.
