About The Position

The Supervisor II is responsible for the management, tracking, forecasting, ordering and reporting on all new CAT & Allied inventory lines. This role implements policies for operating, such as hours of operation, workers required, duties, scope of operation, cleanliness of shop, and estimates for products and services provided. The Supervisor II works closely with PSSR’s and Sales Rep to provide solutions to customer requests, promotes a desired work environment, and prepares work schedules assigning workers to specific duties to maximize customer satisfaction. This role also opens and closes work orders, takes service calls, performs on-call duties as required, and ensures safety policies are upheld throughout the shop and the field. The Supervisor II analyzes and resolves work problems, may perform activities of workers supervised, and proactively establishes effective relationships and supports others in achieving high performance. They demonstrate professional behavior, flexibility, and effective communication skills, influencing people rather than demanding others. The Supervisor II is responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices. A large portion of the workday is spent communicating orally in person and by phone.

Requirements

  • An understanding of the overall mission of the dealership.
  • Understanding of machine specifications and how they relate to appropriate order quantities in different geographical areas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and by use of charting and statistical means.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft based products to include Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with a Caterpillar dealership (preferred).
