About The Position

This is a 2nd Shift Supervisor position for Single Stream Recycling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with rotating Saturdays. The role supervises daily operations to improve production, maintain costs, and ensure safety. The supervisor manages daily plant operations, maintains inventory for safety and operation supplies, and reviews and evaluates work for quality and timeliness. They also manage plant logistics and materials, supervise daily production, enter finished goods into inventory, and order supplies as needed. The position involves supervising production staff, coordinating workflow and assignments, and overseeing personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance, with input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. The supervisor investigates and controls the implementation of safety regulations and company policies, and creates and submits weekly and month-end reports to senior management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
• 4 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)

• Experience in recycling, manufacturing, waste management, or industrial operations preferred
• Mobile Equipment Operator
• CPR First Aid

Responsibilities

• Manages daily (plant) operations and maintains inventory for safety and operation supplies.
• Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
• Manages (plant) logistics and materials; supervises daily production; enters finished goods into inventory; orders supplies as needed.
• Supervises production staff and coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.
• Oversees operations personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.
• Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.
