About The Position

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Supervisor for the Hematology Laboratory. This role is responsible for the quality, quantity of work, procedures, personnel, and cost management of the Hematology Laboratory. The position also involves providing cross-coverage for other laboratory areas as needed. Key duties include formulating goals, assigning objectives, establishing standards of practice, and ensuring the continuity of services. The Supervisor must also maintain regulatory compliance with NYSDOH, CAP, and TJC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Science related field.
• Minimum of six years in a clinical laboratory and knowledgeable in all areas of hematology, coagulation and urinalysis areas.
• NYS Department of Education license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
