As Supervisor Health and Safety, you will mentor a team of safety and health professionals responsible for the development and implementation of safety programs. You will ensure regulatory compliance and handle physical risk of business operations, our employees and the communities where we do business. Experience in the energy industry, with a broad natural gas gathering, processing and transmission emphasis is a plus! Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Business, Engineering, or related field and minimum five (5) years health and safety experience
  • Knowledge of concerning industry codes, standards, practices and legal requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the energy industry, with a broad natural gas gathering, processing and transmission emphasis is a plus!
  • Previous experience as a formal leader
  • Oil & Gas experience
  • Supervises the development, implementation and management of effective safety and upstream regulatory programs
  • Experience with natural gas liquids and crude oil pipeline transportation facilities
  • Knowledge concerning industry codes, standards, and practices as well as regulatory requirements
  • Technical writing, communication, presentation, managing and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors performance metrics for safety programs and workforce enterprise performance
  • Ensures safety programs are implemented based upon regulatory requirements and needs of business
  • Guarantees safety processes are clearly defined and communicated to the enterprise; provides metrics and reporting to leaders
  • Ensures business operations is trained in all safety related programs, processes, and procedures
  • Facilitates technical decision making and issues resolution; acts as change agent
  • Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for team members
  • Develops expense plan and forecasts; conducts regular cost analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
