About The Position

Supervise Athletic Facility operations and staff during operating hours to ensure the department's standards for customer service, health, safety, and housekeeping is met. Supervise student employees instructing patrons on and performing routine maintenance of strength and aerobic equipment, maintaining signage and displays. Interpret and implement policies and procedures regarding access and use of facility by patrons and guests. Recommend and implement changes to department's protocols (e.g. scheduling, operating policies). Ensure adherence to rules regarding health, safety and orderly conduct by patrons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Must include experience providing high levels of customer service and supervising employees.
  • Working knowledge of athletic facility operations.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • 3+ years supervisory experience in athletic facilities and experience in facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Athletic Facility operations and staff during operating hours to ensure the department's standards for customer service, health, safety, and housekeeping is met.
  • Supervise student employees instructing patrons on and performing routine maintenance of strength and aerobic equipment, maintaining signage and displays.
  • Interpret and implement policies and procedures regarding access and use of facility by patrons and guests.
  • Recommend and implement changes to department's protocols (e.g. scheduling, operating policies).
  • Ensure adherence to rules regarding health, safety and orderly conduct by patrons.
  • Inspect event facilities to ensure that they conform to customer requirements.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise.
  • Evaluate and select providers of services according to customer requirements.
