About The Position

Corning is seeking a Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance to lead daily operational activities, manage staff and vendors, oversee budgets, and ensure high-quality facility maintenance. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and reliability by delivering proactive and reactive multi-skilled maintenance services, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, BS or MS in Engineering preferred
Frontline supervisory or team leader experience in a production or operational environment.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and projects to achieve measurable results.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and operational systems.
Experience with cost management and financial oversight.
Knowledge of safety, health, and property maintenance fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the plant maintenance and facility functions, delivering both reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance services for all operational equipment and infrastructure.
Ensure equipment reliability and optimal functionality to support business continuity and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the creation and execution of best practice maintenance visions and strategies that drive operational performance and enhance the value of customer and facility assets.
Develop and implement facility and maintenance management strategies that align with Corning Incorporated’s overarching business objectives.
Ensure all maintenance and facility operations adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
Promote and enforce a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance across all aspects of the facility.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of assets, buildings, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal functionality.
Develop and implement corrective actions to address identified issues promptly.
Lead and mentor a team of facility management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.
Support maintenance operations at the Sullivan Park location, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and implement innovative solutions to improve facility performance.
