About The Position

Corning is seeking a Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance to lead daily operational activities, manage staff and vendors, oversee budgets, and ensure high-quality facility maintenance. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and reliability by delivering proactive and reactive multi-skilled maintenance services, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, BS or MS in Engineering preferred
  • Frontline supervisory or team leader experience in a production or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and projects to achieve measurable results.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and operational systems.
  • Experience with cost management and financial oversight.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and property maintenance fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the plant maintenance and facility functions, delivering both reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance services for all operational equipment and infrastructure.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and optimal functionality to support business continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of best practice maintenance visions and strategies that drive operational performance and enhance the value of customer and facility assets.
  • Develop and implement facility and maintenance management strategies that align with Corning Incorporated’s overarching business objectives.
  • Ensure all maintenance and facility operations adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance across all aspects of the facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of assets, buildings, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address identified issues promptly.
  • Lead and mentor a team of facility management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.
  • Support maintenance operations at the Sullivan Park location, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and implement innovative solutions to improve facility performance.
