This position will report to the Assistant Manager, Fabrication. The purpose of this position is to carry out duties in accordance with overseeing and coordinating the department’s daily productivity and production by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years in Fabrication or Shipping/Receiving with YKK AP or 6 years fabrication experience in a warehouse environment.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages 2 or more employees in the department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Maintain and comply to all company safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinate & supervise safety training with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct Safety & 5S audits in fabrication plant.
  • Responsible for housekeeping/5S in fabrication area and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Coordinate/track training & qualification of new employees into process.
  • Responsible for production of quality product.
  • Responsible for achieving high delivery control to customers.
  • Supervise material handling & Frame lines.
  • Responsible for attaining daily production & dispatch schedule.
  • Review production issues daily, list, identify correction, implement.
  • Non-Conforming issues, contact appropriate personnel/review/adjust as necessary.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy/cycle counting in the fabrication areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all job functions of all fabrication and positions.
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing fabricated order to ensure accuracy, completeness and special hardware requirements.
  • Utilize BPCS system to locate material, identify needs, and coordinate order completion.
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Interprets specifications, templates, and job orders for workforce.
  • Establishes or adjusts daily work activities to meet production schedules and productivity goals.
  • Responsible for communication & posting of daily performance.
