About The Position

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Environmental Services which may include general cleaning, floor maintenance and laundry functions. This role involves interviewing, selecting, and training new employees, monitoring current employees, and providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance management. The position also includes participating in the development and implementation of department-wide projects and programs, responding to customer concerns/compliments, controlling operating expenses, and adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating workloads. A key aspect of this role is developing and maintaining employee performance standards to achieve desired quality results through daily rounding and performing required audits, as well as evaluating employee performance. The supervisor will utilize Beaumont Standards and effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, cultural, or developmental needs, and maintain/improve employee engagement through rounding, recognition, team building, and meetings. Participation in department and hospital committees is also expected, along with developing programs/practices that ensure correct/safe care and usage of chemical products and equipment, and evaluating new and existing products and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Leadership

  • Healthcare, environmental services, and/or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures and practices
