Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)

- Previous dispatching experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Receives dispatch requests and partners with Dispatcher II or III to notify drivers of specific pickup or delivery dates and times for customer industrial waste materials; ensures customers are serviced on time
- Dispatches loads consistent with routing requests and according to Arcwood and DOT procedures
- Develops and maintains records of activities including tracking shipments, roll-off container inventory, and researching waste streams for special projects, quotes, and equipment utilization among other operations
- Generate weekly and monthly load reports and others as requested; interfaces with other Company operations by scheduling additional equipment or drivers as needed
- Assists in the coordination of transportation services for internal Coordinators to ensure customer needs are met
- Monitors loading, reloading and dispatching of special material not conforming to standard procedures
- Coordinates transportation activities between service centers to maximize Arcwood assets
- Maintains 24-hour availability to manage driver issues or equipment repair requests as needed, as well as manage accident minimization efforts
- Offers clear, legible communications via electronic, written or verbal methods
- Provides supervision to direct reports and maintains the ability to effectively manage issues that arise while team members are away from home or the terminal
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
