The Supervisor - Direct Care Lead - CA position involves assisting the Program Administrator (PA) with the day-to-day oversight of a residence. This includes supervising assigned direct support staff, ensuring staff perform tasks in accordance with all requirements, and implementing immediate corrective actions when needed. The role also involves consulting with program leadership, clinical staff, and external providers to ensure top-quality care for individuals, adhering to agency philosophy, department practices, and regulatory requirements. A key aspect is ensuring appropriate therapeutic supervision to protect the health, safety, and habilitation of individuals, utilizing support skills for those with moderate to complex needs, and implementing plans of protective oversight and Individual Behavior Support Plans (IBSPs)/Individualized Program Plans (IPPs). The position requires demonstrating professionalism, performing direct care responsibilities as needed, and ensuring smooth program operations through oversight of systems like staff scheduling, daily shift reports, and maintaining tracking logs. The role emphasizes providing effective leadership, developing a team that provides quality care, and establishing a work environment free from harassment and discrimination. Direct supervision of staff includes communicating and applying rules, standards, and policies, and regularly directing activities to meet the needs of individuals. Performance assessment and feedback are provided through ongoing supervision and observation, ensuring completion and documentation of training and credentials. The Supervisor also participates in the hiring process, interviews, selects, and develops qualified staff, and manages staff status and work hour changes. Accurate timekeeping through Workday is essential, along with identifying and resolving concerns with attendance and time tracking. The role includes maintaining and documenting inventory of supplies and medications, supporting interdisciplinary team meetings, and serving as Facility Manager on assigned shifts, responsible for drills and physical plant checks. The Supervisor supports the completion and maintenance of all individual treatment paperwork and incident reporting, manages financial ledgers, and participates in various program and person-specific meetings. Driver certification and training are provided, along with ensuring staff compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA. The position requires completing and maintaining necessary trainings and certifications, and performing other duties as assigned, including providing coverage as a Lead RBT/LPT or DSP-RBT.
