About The Position

The Supervisor, Digital Production is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Digital Production team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality digital assets across the organization. This role provides operational leadership by establishing daily priorities, assigning and balancing workloads, monitoring production status, removing obstacles, and driving adherence to established quality standards and production timelines. The Supervisor partners closely with Prepress, Events, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure digital asset needs are clearly understood and efficiently executed. This position also plays a key role in developing team members through training, coaching, performance feedback, and continuous process improvement. The role maintains hands-on technical proficiency and provides direct production support when business needs require it.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in graphic design, prepress, digital production, print production, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a creative or production team.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work across a production team in a high-volume environment with competing deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of print-ready PDFs, digital asset creation, and production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience providing quality control and actionable feedback on production output.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve technical or production issues.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and workload-management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Sound design judgment while following established creative direction and production requirements.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within trading cards, collectibles, commercial printing, or another high-volume production environment.
  • Experience developing SOPs, training materials, or production documentation.
  • Familiarity with workflow-management, production-tracking, or content-management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Digital Production team, translating organizational priorities into daily and weekly production plans.
  • Assign work and balance team capacity based on priority, complexity, deadlines, and available resources.
  • Monitor production status throughout the day and adjust assignments as business priorities change.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints that may impact delivery, and communicate or escalate as appropriate.
  • Ensure assigned work is completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Coach, train, and develop Digital Production Artists on workflows, software, quality standards, and departmental expectations.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and address productivity, quality, or process-adherence concerns when appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
  • Maintain ownership of quality standards across Digital Production output.
  • Review completed assets for accuracy, consistency, technical integrity, and adherence to established production requirements.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective measures, training, or workflow improvements as appropriate.
  • Ensure file organization, naming conventions, and established departmental procedures are consistently followed.
  • Partner with upstream production teams to identify and resolve source-file issues that affect Digital Production output.
  • Maintain hands-on proficiency across the team's core production workflows and provide production support when business needs require it.
  • Create and oversee digital assets derived from print-ready files for marketing, sales, packaging, broadcast, digital card platforms, and other organizational needs.
  • Support large-format, digital-print, visual mockup, and other specialized production workflows.
  • Ensure production output meets established technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Evaluate incoming requests and production priorities to determine appropriate sequencing, resource allocation, and delivery expectations.
  • Partner with requestors and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, establish realistic timelines, and communicate changes in priority or capacity.
  • Collaborate with Prepress, Design, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to resolve production challenges and maintain efficient handoffs.
  • Communicate team status, risks, blockers, and delivery concerns clearly and proactively.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, communication, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process documentation to support consistency and cross-training across the team.
  • Monitor adherence to established procedures and recommend process enhancements where appropriate.
  • Use available production data and reporting to identify trends in capacity, turnaround time, quality, and rework.
  • Leverage production platforms and workflow-management tools to improve visibility, planning, and execution.
