About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Services for the Developmentally Disabled (CSDD), this person will supervise and coordinate assigned program components for CSDD services, with an emphasis on Children and Transitional Oriented Services and related case management and associated similar supports. Will plan, develop and implement various program/component services to meet the needs of consumers. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administrative and/or clinical supervision of assigned staff, consumer needs assessment, budget preparation, waiver benefit implementation, and contract administration and monitoring. Depending on area of assignment and classification, essential job duties and responsibilities may vary for each Supervisor in the CSDD program overall. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the office in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • Possession of appropriate State of Michigan credential (E.g.: LLMSW, LMSW, LLP, LP, LPC, etc.).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
  • At least one (1) year of work experience in a supervisory/administrative capacity.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstration of effective leadership and good judgement skills.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all activities of the office in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.
