About The Position

As a Convention & Banquet Setup Supervisor at MGM Grand, you will be responsible for the daily operations of conventions, meetings and banquets. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in an event set‑up and tear‑down within an arena, convention center, or similar large‑scale venue environment required
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the set-up and tear down of conventions, meetings and banquets in the Conference Center, Arena, Studio Rooms, Hotel, and Pools
  • Maintain rapport with clients and Convention Services Managers to ensure client satisfaction
  • Attend pre-conference meetings on upcoming functions
  • Inventory equipment and supplies in order to maintain proper par stocks levels
  • Inform employees of management policies and ensures compliance
  • Handle employee and guest complaints with the intent of resolving situations to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested
