Develops, implements, and supervises clinical services provided by a team or unit; directly supervises team or unit personnel. This role involves participating in the development of unit goals and objectives, supervising staff in the design and implementation of treatment plans, and managing the unit budget. The position also includes conducting staff meetings, developing training sessions, and overseeing client evaluations. Additionally, the supervisor monitors facility conditions, may perform direct clinical services, and participates in grant writing and program review activities. Ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures, orienting, training, and evaluating staff are key responsibilities. The role also serves as a liaison between staff and management, participates in public relations, and plans new services. Clinical supervision for case consultation and staffing, as well as taking crisis calls and providing backup in emergencies, are also part of the duties. A significant aspect is coordinating care within a trauma-informed framework, facilitating communication between medical and behavioral health practitioners, assisting with scheduling health interventions, integrating treatment, and educating individuals/families on the interplay of physical and behavioral health.
