About The Position

The Supervisor of Clinical Operations Outpatient Services provides leadership and daily clinical supervision to Outpatient Behavioral Health Center clinicians, assists in hiring, training, mentoring and evaluation of staff. Collaboratively participates in daily departmental planning, decisions making, and developing clinical staff. Actively participates in all aspects of clinical operations, including facilitation of patient care services. Ensures quality services are provided by the department to patients and families within accepted standards of practice and established policies and procedures, by maintaining high quality standards of patient care, safety, satisfaction, and a positive treatment experience. Demonstrates an ability to provide and foster a vision for the department, under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Operations and consistent with the organization. Duties include supervision of the day-to-day activities of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Center clinicians to ensure safety, quality, and clinical effectiveness of all services provided to patients and their families. Provides leadership to the treatment team, in collaboration with Lead Licensed Therapists, on work assignments and serves as a resource during the shift operations. Responsible for assisting the Director of Clinical Operations with recruitment, retention, mentoring, counseling, and evaluations, as well as promoting positive staff morale, clinical team engagement, and operational excellence. Monitors staffing assignments to ensure adequate coverage and positive productivity performance. Also responsible for contributing to the department’s performance improvement efforts to comply with all standards established by the organization, accreditation agencies, insurance companies, the BHC Quality Department, and departmental policies.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree - Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Other Counseling - Required
  • 5 years Healthcare - Required
  • 2 years Leadership Role in Clinical Setting - Required
  • LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker - California Board of Behavioral Sciences - Required
  • LMFT Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - California Board of Behavioral Sciences - Required
  • LPCC Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - BBS CA Board of Behavioral Sciences - Required
  • Psychologist - California Board of Psychology - Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training - Required within 30-days of hire and renewal annually or within 30-days of return from a leave of absence

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in operations, department restructuring, supervising personnel, managing department operations and, developing policies and procedures, and preparation for accreditation and licensure.
