About The Position

This posting is for a new headcount position for the 2026 Fall Co-op program. Artificial Intelligence will be used in the hiring process for this role. This role is categorized as Onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Oshawa Assembly Plant five times per week at minimum, or other frequency dictated by the business. As an intern or co-op student through our EXCEL (Exploring Careers through Experiential Learning) Program, you will gain hands-on career-specific experiences to maximize your real-world potential. As a Supervisor, the individual is responsible for supervising a group of employees involved in production or operations, ensuring quality products are produced in a safe and timely manner. The Co-Op student will also be responsible for reducing costs, eliminating waste, and improving safety practices. Together with other Supervisors, you will be part of a team supporting business objectives and maintaining operations at a world-class level. Some of the problem-solving work is of a technical nature, requiring the ability to make timely decisions within specified limits, cope with change, and handle risk and uncertainty. Furthermore, the Supervisor can expect to collaborate on innovation challenges, interact with industry leaders, attend professional trade events, and volunteer for community service activities.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelors Degree (3rd or 4th year) in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce or Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent)
  • Able to work 40 hours per week in Canada and for 8, or 12 month term (consecutive semesters) starting September 2026
  • Willing to work in a plant environment and flexible hours (shift work, weekends, and overtime to meet business needs)
  • Must be enrolled in a Co-op or Internship program and meet the program’s eligibility requirements
  • All students must also be legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience, knowledge of production environments, and in automotive industry are considered assets
  • Previous supervisory, or team leading experience
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust
  • Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centric
  • Excellent project management skills and the proven ability to manage numerous projects at any given
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Fundamental digital literacy including understanding of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
