About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for supervising team members in specified food outlet(s) and assist in supervision of all other outlets as needed. This role creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment, actively building and retaining guest relations and acting as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service. The Supervisor is responsible for opening and closing shifts or work areas, ensuring the outlet is fully prepared for operation, and maintaining cleanliness and security of company assets. Administrative functions such as scheduling, time and attendance records, and appraisals are managed to ensure appropriate staffing levels and that team members are performing duties according to established service standards. The role assists in monitoring the department budget for efficient use of labor and resources, monitors guest service and satisfaction, and resolves guest concerns or complaints. Daily inspections of food outlets ensure a safe work environment, proper equipment operation, and sufficient supplies. The Supervisor works directly with the culinary team to create, place, and receive food and non-food orders, and attends meetings and completes follow-up as assigned. Other duties include performing work regularly and predictably, attending seminars when needed, and responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years dining experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year Food & Beverage supervisory experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State and ERGC Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Knowledge of wines and alcoholic beverages.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Ability to be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Ability to maintain bar operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management or related field.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.
