Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing strategic media recommendations and stewarding media account projects.
  • Experience utilizing multiple media channels.

  • Strong mentorship experience in terms of developing media professionals, ability to manage a small team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the team in translating client goals into strategic media solutions that grow client brands and ensure strategic consistency across plan development and implementation.
  • Lead research initiatives, identifying tools and resources for consumer insight gathering and strategic planning.
  • Assist senior leadership with media briefs, building strategic and tactical recommendations and client presentations.
  • Share evolving media trends and opportunities with peers and clients, incorporating existing and emerging communication channels.
  • Manipulate and analyze large datasets including competitive and target data.
  • Collaborate with key partners during the planning process, including Partners, Creative Agencies, and biddable activation teams.
  • Oversee RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compile proposal analysis, and drive partner negotiations.
  • Ensure accuracy of insertion orders within internal systems to reserve advertising space and confirm plan details and delivery.
  • Oversee junior members in ensuring accuracy of specs documents and receipt of materials from creative agencies.
  • Oversee junior team members' engagement and interactions with other Horizon departments (Investment, Traffic, Operations).
  • Guide the team in setting project timelines, ensuring challenging, level-appropriate projects and learning opportunities.
  • Promote the work of junior and senior team members and foster a positive team environment.
  • Manage performance of junior team members through coaching, identifying training needs, setting career development goals, and ensuring actions are taken.
  • Participate in the interview process for junior team members.
  • Be responsible and accountable for all channel wrap-up reports, collaborating with activation teams to apply findings to future campaign strategy.
  • Monitor and report on media campaigns, communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners, and clients.
  • Effectively communicate optimization strategies, challenges, and opportunities across display, mobile, social, and video.
  • Build and maintain relationships with core clients, industry partners, and internal departments.
  • Serve as a conduit for strategic leadership from senior to junior teams.
  • Anticipate client requests, troubleshoot, and problem-solve with internal teams to provide proactive solutions.
  • Lead calls and statuses, establishing yourself as a lead point of contact.
  • Engage with investment teams to ensure successful campaign execution and deliver plan deliverables to clients.
